ELK HORN LODGE MOTEL AND CABINS, Cooke City

Elk Horn Lodge offers rooms with two beds and a full bath. Each non-smoking room features a flat-screen TV with Direct TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, a microwave, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker. Guests can enjoy fishing and boating in crystal clear lakes and streams. They can also hike and backpack along scenic mountain trails, and view and photograph landscapes and wildlife. The lodge provides easy access to Lamar Valley for wildlife viewing, especially wolves. Winter activities include snowmobiling, backcountry skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Guided cross-country skiing and snowshoeing tours of Yellowstone National Park are available near the park's Northeast Entrance. Snowmobile rentals and avalanche safety equipment rentals are available at Cooke City Sinclair.

Elk Horn Lodge is located in Cooke City, Montana, near Yellowstone National Park's Northeast Entrance. The lodge is 100 km from Yellowstone Regional. Landmarks close to the property include Clay Butte Fire Lookout Tower (0.5 km), Yellowstone Trading Post (0.3 km), Cooke City Montana Museum (0.3 km), and F.J. Williams Primitive Western Art Gallery (0.3 km). The lodge can be accessed from YNP via the North East Entrance. The lodge can also be accessed via the Chief Joseph Highway 296 just outside of Cody, Wyoming. In winter, Cooke City is accessible by wheeled vehicles through the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. From Wyoming Highway 296, access to Cooke City is by snowmobile only in the winter.

Elk Horn Lodge offers free Wi-Fi. The lodge does not offer electrical plug ins for electric cars. There is not any cell phone service in the area. Guests may use the lodge Wifi to place calls, but in order to do so, they need to go into their phone settings and turn Wifi Calling "ON" while they have cell phone service prior to arriving in Cooke City.
